October Happenings

World Card Making Day

World Card Making Day is celebrated on the first Saturday in October & is a day for all card makers to unite & celebrate the creativity that is at the heart of card making.

Today, card making is a worldwide hobby especially popular in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

*1 in 6 U.S. households participates making cards
*86% of scrapbookers also create handmade cards
*92% of paper crafters create cards more than any other type of project

Cards w/Verna

Come create a collection of cards and have them ready to go for any occasion. You don’t have to be “crafty” to enjoy these fun classes. Verna will teach you all you need to know to create fantastic cards that will “wow” your friends and family!

Verna will also be kicking off our Breast Cancer Awareness with a special card. You don't want to miss it, as it will not be repeated at any other time.

Cricut Layout Class

Tuesday, October 6th

Have you ever wanted to make that 2-page layout using just your Cricut?

Here at the Cafe, we have classes geared for YOU - The Cricut user.

You will be making beautiful 2-page layouts using all kinds of cartridges. Each class, we will be featuring one cartridge. You will also be learning how more and more of your features work and a few 'hidden' surprises on your Cricut.

In this class you will be using only 3 sheets of paper plus your background. You will be using the negative and the postive as well as some embossing.

Cartirdge - A Child's Year
This cartridge has beautiful silhouette's - perfect for that vintage look

This class is VERY LIMITED, so call the store NOW to reserve your spot

You will need to bring to class:
*Cricut Machine
*Cutting Mat
*A Child's Year cartridge
*Paper Trimmer
*Adhesive of Choice
*Other basic supplies
